This was an essay written in the mid 1980s by Peter Mayer as part of a Job Creation Programme which resulted in the setting up of the Calstock Parish Archive. It was first published in booklet form in November 2001 in order to raise funds for the archive.

It may be purchased for £3.00 which includes postage and packing in the U.K., or £4.00 overseas. Cheques can only be accepted in Sterling pounds and we do not have the facility for credit cards. All profits go to support the archive.
